Oasis blends good music, good coffee and good will
The Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie and Oasis Entertainment are proud to announce Oasis Blend - a special blend of Heirloom™ Guatemalan beans roasted especially for Oasis Entertainment, a nonprofit production company whose mission is inspiring artists and audiences to help communities in need survive and thrive. Oasis is currently raising funds to rebuild a community hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala, which was destroyed by a mudslide last fall. “I am honored to be a part of the Oasis Project. A portion of the retail sales from all of our Heirloom™ Coffee blends are used to benefit individuals or organizations like Oasis Entertainment,” says Eva Deloach of the Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie (VICR). The VICR resides in the original roasting house where Jim Stewart began Stewart Brothers Coffee and Seattle’s Best Coffee. The VICR works closely with Stewart and the Vashon Island Coffee Foundation he created, to preserve the indigenous cultures of coffee growing regions and the environment. Eva states, “These beans have a spicy spirit and warm heart like the people who grow them. This coffee is among the most treasured of all the coffee that Jim buys today and remains the most popular coffee that we sell at the Roasterie. A prayer of thankfulness and a handful of these beans are tossed into every blend we roast.”
Oasis Entertainment is dedicated to assisting communities in need by connecting philanthropists, artists and audiences to produce entertainment that raises awareness and resources for effective nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.
